The Phantom, Bananas and Fake Thin Mints

My brother posted this on his FB... I love it!

A letter from a mom to her daughter (link here) on why she won't be allowed to read Twilight. Here is a little excerpt:

"Let’s just come right out with it: giving up your soul and abandoning your family because of your infatuation for an elderly, stalker that might accidentally drink your blood is never a good choice."

Can I be honest with you all?
When I first read this I didn't know it was about Twilight. So when I read 'elderly' and 'stalker' I thought it was referring to The Phantom of the Opera, and I freaked out a little! I love The Phantom!

But when I read the 'drink your blood' part I was like, "Oh, the phantom wouldn't do that so it's ok, he would still be a good choice"

Is that horrible that I have a secret desire to be seduced (by Kyle of course) and led down a tunnel with moving candles coming out of the wall while wearing a pretty dress, getting to ride a horse and go in a boat?

Honestly, the real infatuation is with Christine's dress, hair and voice.

I remember the first time I saw The Phantom of the Opera. I was with my cousins and I was so enthralled by her voice. Then the tunnel and candle part came and me and my cousins were staring intently at the screen - it's so intense!

After the scene/song was over my Aunt Susan said "Girls, if a guy wearing a mask and a cape ever tries to lead you down a dark tunnel with candles while he is singing seductively to you, DO NOT GO WITH HIM!"

And all of us answered, "WHY NOT!?"

I mean, I would follow Kyle anywhere. But if he were to put on a half mask and cape, give me a pretty dress, sing to me seductively(?) and have a horse for me to ride, I'd be a fool to say no!

Someday I will see The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway.

Or maybe I will be in The Phantom of the Opera on Broadway...

I could totally nail that high C.

Well, anyway, enough about my creepy and odd obsession...

I was really going to tell you about making frozen chocolate bananas - with peanut butter!

And I had extra chocolate so I made 'thin mints'...

They are actually pretty good! I mean, don't expect an actual thin mint because you will be disappointed, but they are actually good and not as ridiculously expensive as girl scout cookies are now...

(Just ignore the crappy looking one... I had a little 'cracka meltdown')

"Sweaters Are Lame"

I was trying to deal with a tenant today... 

This tenant wasn't being very cooperative (imagine a 2 year old in a 40 year old's body)

This person was arguing and wouldn't stop interrupting me.

I said "Can you let me finish a sentence?"

And you know what this person said?

"No"

This person literally told me I could not finish my sentence because it didn't matter what I said, they weren't going to listen.

Ok, maybe it's just me but aren't we supposed to outgrow that age...like, when we become teenagers?

Or possibly (most definitely) sooner than that?

Like when we turn 8, (but more like age 5)?

But, what do I know? I'm just a young, idiotic 22 year old.

Obviously this person has more life experience than I do. (shaking my head 'no')

Grrrrr...

Chicken, Pineapple and A Hottie!

We have been trying to eat better.

Notice I did not say eat healthy...You bet there's still ice cream in the freezer...

We're just trying to eat healthier!

So last night we made ourselves some kebabs!

Pineapple, broccoli, chicken, onion, a peppers. They were SOOOOOO delicious!

I'm totally looking forward to fall and winter, except that I'm sad we won't get to grill whenever we want to... We use our little grill all the time!
And my own personal grill chef... aint he a hunk? (I know, such good english)

We decided to have a girl get together!

So I made way to many mustaches! We had some fun with these...

Our craft for this month was making plates and baking them...well the baking must be done late...

Spring Musical Tryouts, Tattoos and Wildcats!

A few days ago my dear cousins came over and we had a High School Musical party.

We wanted to watch all three but it got late so we were only able to watch two of them. Hopefully we will get to watch the third one soon!

4 years ago I went to the midnight showing of HSM3. 

Don't judge us, it was the middle of the night!

They were giving out tattoos at the midnight showing so I grabbed three of them and I meant to send them to Dano and Melis but I never did! I found them about 3 weeks ago and they were perfect for our party!

It was so much fun! Can't wait to spend more time with these lovely ladies!

Family, Presents and Writing on the Wall!

My dad and brother surprised me this past weekend for fun! They brought a package with them from my mom since she had to work and couldn't make it.

The bracelet from my mom, I've worn it every day since!

Watching the olympics. My dad was so funny, he commented on everything! It made me laugh so hard!

We went to the Pie Pizzeria.

Dad got really into writing on the walls. It was pretty fun and delicious!
